Maria became the Empress of the Rastonia Empire at fifteen, dedicating herself to her role and her husband, only to be betrayed and see her family destroyed. As punishment, she is taken as collateral for Rastonia’s debts by Günter Playsley, the King of Helland.

Günter vows to protect her, but Maria’s past haunts her as she faces Henry, the man who betrayed her. She appears to bid him a tender farewell, even kissing his palm. Yet, she secretly writes a message on his hand: “Wait for me. I will bring divine punishment upon you. You murderous bastard.”

With her revenge set in motion, Maria steps back, leaving her past behind.
