Log In to CommentThis story has really nice art in the facial features of the characters, and I really wish that it was better written… cause every time a character has something from their past with the duchess come up we get a little backstory segment to explain it. This literally violates one of the most important storytelling tenants, “show don’t tell”, like we understand that the duchess is loved by the people but every time they try to show her doing something well, it’s, “omg she did this thing for me way back”(that was never even alluded to or shown in the story) or, “ok, I’ll do so and so for the territory” not explaining how she’s going to implement the change, just showing the change after it’s done. The most egregious of which being her, “I’m getting rid of the slums!” Bit, (like how????? Explain???)
