Behind the indifferent, pious facade of a priest hides a man with cold, elegantly piercing green eyes: Lars. Yet every time their paths cross outside the church, he appears wearing a completely different identity—each more dangerous and captivating than the last.

As Lucienne becomes hopelessly entangled in his web of secrets and shifting guises, a dangerous urge awakens within her for the very first time: the desire to truly live. What begins as a desperate spark quickly consumes her entire existence, burning out of control under the volatile name of love.
