first you need to assess the reason for the fight, it might be something trivial like someone took something that the other wasn't using, or maybe someone said something they shouldn't have, once you have a reason you can proceede to find a solution, it also changes depending on the age, little kids are easier to convince than lets say teens or even adults. Compromise is also key for the resolution, sometimes people just dont get along and the more you force it the worst it will become, there is no "one simple solution" sometimes if they are kids you may end up buying two of everything to avoid conflict and it still might happen, if there is a difference in age you need to acknoledge both of their points, you cant expect the older to let the younger to just do as they want, set limits for both, the younger should respect the older and the older should not abuse the younger. I know its easier said than done but as I said "Compromise" and find other ways to vent their frustrations, maybe sports or arts, have them learn something they want to learn, even if they dont show what they like help them find it, its hard but that is parenting. If they are not your kids then after separating them try to find ways to keep them from meeting each other, change their schedules or something, this one is harder bcs you will be more limited on what you can do. Sometimes just being around avoids a simple discussion from escalating. That is what I've done

How do you stop two children fighting? I don't have the answer, I'm not a parent, nor do u want to be. But i ponder hard questions like this sometimes.
